Olympics

We spent last night watching the Olympics at my parents’ house since my Dad’s in town.  Usually, I only pay attention to the track & field events, but the gymnastics were fascinating.  Watching China’s and the U.S.’s teams, it dawned on me how much skill they must have to do that.  These girls must have such strong muscles and control.  They moved with such grace and elegance.  I didn’t think I could appreciate the beauty of their sport.  Unfortunately, the U.S. suffered some setbacks, but it looks recoverable.

Too bad we have to wait until the end of the week for the first track & field events and a week and two weeks for the women’s and men’s marathon.

  1. It really is fascinating to see what people can do. And, of course, now I am hooked on watching the Olympics after having gone on and on about how I don’t care about them.
Does this mean we’ll be seeing you again at the end of the week? Or perhaps you’ll have your tv figured out by then. ;P

  2. I’ll probably be over to watch the women’s marathon if I can figure out when/if they air the race.
